Verified Bot & rDNS Verification – Reliably verify genuine search engine bots
Verified Bot & rDNS Verification adds an additional identity check for known search engine crawlers to BYB Bot Protection Pro.
The module verifies whether a bot claiming to be Googlebot, Bingbot or Applebot actually belongs to a trusted provider. This makes it easier to distinguish genuine crawlers from bots that simply use a well-known name.
Failed verifications can first be logged only or blocked if required.
Verified Bot & rDNS Verification therefore provides additional security when evaluating trusted bots and complements BYB’s central bot detection.
